Just to throw a little shade on Jimmie T, I'd like to point out that Garland is much more than a 3rd line winger (would love him in our top 6 instead of Neal or Archibald), Dvorak and Soderberg had a great game, and even Crouse was very effective all night. Arizona simply outplayed Edmonton in all aspects of the game. Koskinen was the only Oil to show up (even though JT says we have no goaltending).
Maybe some props to Yamamoto too, who was working his ass off all night. Other than that, very disappointing game to watch. |

I like Garland, he's good at scoring, but here is the thing: About 10% of NHL players have a wider range of impact than the other 90%.
So basically there are elite players, and then everyone else is practically interchangeable, especially when you factor in the salary cap.
I like Garland in the same role the Leafs use Kapanen or Engvall in. With his cheap deal, he's good to have. He shouldn't be on anyone's first line, and I wouldn't pay him over the league minimum.

No politics, insulting large groups of people, moronic comments, or references to crap music. Definitely not a Tanner blog. |

Maybe now you'll shut your trap when it comes to guaranteed wins and making wagers in public. |
